Qui sommes-nous ?
TennisPoint is setup as a SaaS (software as a service) website catering specifically to tennis players. Here are a couple of scenarios in which TennisPoint is perfect: A. Tennis team captain (Bob Smith) has 20 players on his tennis team which will play 7 matches this upcoming tennis season. Bob will need 10 players each match and has to organize all the details of who is playing, where they play and ensure all these details are known by all his teammates. Product/Service Name: Tennis Team Captain B. Tennis organization (USTA - United States Tennis Association) has a tennis league which they want to help manage teams, schedules, playoffs, billing and communication. Product/Service Name: Tennis League Manager C . Dad has a son who plays junior tennis tournaments and isn't quite sure which tournaments are best to play in -- how to get the most "ranking points" for his son to see if he can get into the next national tournament coming up to get some exposure with the college tennis recruiters that will be there. Product/Service Name: Junior Tournament Rankings Manager TennisPoint products can help with each of the 3 scenarios above with our different products we have. One of our goals is to save TIME for these people in all these scenarios and ideally make it easier/fun too. Our existing customers/users range in age from 30 years old up to 60 years old.

Idées de style / thème
Our existing homepage design has 3 different products in a "tabbed style" which shows the product and "x number of features" -- seems to be somewhat confusing for many users though. Please stay AWAY from this "tabbed style" like on our existing homepage. Would prefer to have a "snippet" (screen shot and text) about each different product and then a full "product detail page" that also outlines the product's features and a type of "call to action / sign up / Learn more" buttons too. Designs - prefer an even cleaner design likes the ones outlined below. I also attached a couple of screen shots of the "app" for some of our "newer" (about a year ago) designed pages too. Prefer the Twitter Bootstrap style of form elements too.
Description de la page
Here is the breakdown of the different pages: 1. Homepage: Would like a bold statement (something around "saving you more time with TennisPoint" with details around different products: a. tennis team management -- "scenario A about Bob Smith" b. junior player manager -- "scenario C about dad/son" c. league / facility manager -- "scenario B above about USTA running their tennis league" d. FlexTennis League -- flex tennis league we run ourselves on TennisPoint. Call to action here will be "jump" off to that website - www.flextennisleague.com Other great items for homepage: tennis court search form, testimonials, calls to action, etc Existing homepage has an area which shows "usage / system stats" (total matches, sets and games) - this is a must to be on the new homepage to convey to potential users that we are an "active website and trusted by many players, captains and teams." 2. Product Detail & Features: When a user "drills down" on a product, this page will outline different "product features". The existing homepage LOTS of these product features presently. We do have a couple competitors so it would be great to have a "feature comparison" when looking at "x product detail page" (for instance tennis team manager service). 3. User Sign Up Form: This will be a form similar to this page - http://www.tennispoint.com/?event=registerPlayer Key additions/items to the sign up page: a. ability to add multiple email address (only 2 now) and also the ability to designate if that email is to receive "emails" to it as well. b. "Want Google directions from your location to the match? - Enter your address details below". Right now we require it but don't tell the user why -- this is why. c. "minimal view" and "advanced / full details" form view. For instance, you can do this now by clicking on the bottom area of the registration form. Prefer the Twitter Bootstrap style of form elements too. 4. Tennis Court/Club Page: These pages help people find places to play tennis -- challenge is they were done 3ish years ago and the design needs to be updated. existing URL sample: http://www.tennispoint.com/?event=facilityProfile&FID=716 Existing Page Likes/Dislikes: a. Like how it shows satellite view of the area - this way when a team has a match at those courts they can see the details of the area b. Like the multiple advertising spots on the page c. Like that I can get "turn by turn" directions from the page d. Dislike how the page isn't "responsive" with how google penalizes that e. Dislike how the "blank star ratings" tend to just stream down the page and make it LONG for no reason. f. dislike the the print view of the page 5. "Message Stream/Wall": Thinking about our different "scenarios" (Bob Smith - team captain), the team captain will traditionally send "emails" to keep the team's players updated on the different details -- our users send approximately 300,000 emails every month. The problem is email by itself isn't always "easy" from a delivery perspective and more and more communication is "sms style" of messaging - unfortunately too costly to integrate true "sms text messaging". We wold like to create more of a "slack" messaging in which users will be able to get "messages" more real-time. This will be using more "push technology" on browsers (and technically on mobile too) to enable a more "real-time" style communication. Yes, email messages will still exist on the site but will be more used for "longer messages". For instance we could show the first 3-4 sentences with a "read more" or "read full message" part in the "messages" area. Key item - a person may be on multiple active tennis teams at once so this means the "message stream/wall" will have messages from multiple teams on it -- we will need to be able to filter down by individual team as well.
Le brief créatif
1. DO NOT use tennis balls as "bullets" -- way over used in tennis ;o) 2. Please stay away from "stock tennis photographs/images" that are online since 98% of them are very poor and don't really relate to tennis today. We would prefer you use our screen shots and they are in "attachments" too.
I have used 99Designs for many different sites - I provide LOTS of feedback in an effort to get the best possible design overall! Attachments are added so that you can use any of the "application screen shots" as well to get an idea about the overall design. Kolya, is an outstanding designer and always a pleasure to work with. Love the way that he really thinks about the "interface design" for what makes the most sense to the "user" interacting with the website. We keep having him do more and more work for us and highly recommend him!
