We sell heirloom vegetable seeds to consumers via the internet. We sell seeds, which are food. Seeds that can be regrown generation after generation is what we offer - the ability for people to feed themselves. We are selling not only food (i.e. the seeds), but the stories. These seeds all have a story - some dating back hundreds of years.

We have three separate segments that we cater to - women in their 30s-50s who are planting food that reminds them of their mothers and grandmothers and who are planting to feed their families; young people who are concerned about where their food comes from and securing a healthy, safe food source. Typically these young folks are very tech savvy and respect that we are an internet based-company; farmers and mature growers who appreciate and respect that we are, like them growing their seed - not only reselling it. They have an affinity for the "victory garden" era of grow your own produce and like the turn of the century nostalga. Above all though, we are selling stories that are old - these seeds are usually at least 50 years old, so we want the look and feel to reflect that. Also, we are "sustainable seed" utilizing the cutting edge of solar and wind power to provide our power, unlike many in our industry this is a huge point that we're under capitalizing on and needs to be incorporated in the design.
