'Web 2.0', Clean and simple
Accepted File Formats:
HTML, External CSS Stylesheet
The site will feature discount codes, coupons and a blog detailing any offers being run by a specific retailer.
The site should be clean, simple to use and strengthen the image of saving money.
Color scheme is flexible, however it should be easily changable - for example, we may wish to use it for a retailer with a predominantly red logo, or we may instead decide to use it for a retailer with a predominantly green logo.
Please use a non-specific logo and branding, again with the above in mind.
Two pages are required:
*The front (index) page, which should feature the following;*
A section for listing of codes available. These will be pulled from a database, and there are no set number of codes at any time. Therefore, this element needs to be fluid. Each code will be presented in the following manner £10 off a £50 spend. I will be adding an element to display to code itself, so you do not need to be concerned with this aspect.
News articles. These will take the form of a blog post and should include the following headline, date, number of comments and the first 300 characters of the article. Space for 4 articles on the front page is required.
Newsletter signup - simple text field and submit button (I will code the form action).
Exactly as the front page, but with just one article in full plus the following additions;
- A place for comments
- An add comment form with name, email, and body fields (I will handle the form action).
The site *must* be CSS coded and should not be restrained by such things as 'you can only have 2 paragraphs here otherwise the design breaks'.
Primarily, I'm looking not only for success with this design, but also for someone I can work with on future projects. I have around 10 projects lined up and ready to go already. Having given (and paid for!) this project to 2 designers through traditional routes with poor results, I'm hoping the perfect designer is out there and entering this contest!
