This book is an anatomical roadmap to baseball pitching. It is presented as a reference guide to reinforce anatomical and motor control precepts used in baseball pitching, emphasizing the importance of movement context and self-organization. The reader is assumed to have a general knowledge of anatomy and referent terminology. The book aims to contribute to developing a more sophisticated approach to understanding movement in sports, specifically baseball pitching. This anatomical approach to movement is still in its early stages, as most existing scholarly articles have focused mainly on using technology that estimates anatomical landmarks to quantify kinematics through the lens of Newtonian physics.
