The Vitruvian Collaborative is a -- as the name suggests -- a collaborative between high performers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds. We bring together heart surgeons, neuroscientists, Navy SEALs, fighter pilots, artists, musicians, computer scientists, and so on ... Our mission is to educate companies and high performing teams on how to deepen performance and reach higher levels of potential.
"Vitruvian" comes from Vitruvius, who was a Roman engineer, author, architect and military man. He wrote the first major "book" on architecture and design called "De Architectura" in which he argued that the three core principles of design are: "Strength" (Firmitas), "Utility" (Utilitas), and "Venustas" (Beauty).
Vitruvius' principles inspired DaVinci's famous "Vitruvian Man" drawing.
Our team leverages the Vitruvian principles to improve organizational, and individual, performance.
