Although we are a professional business, we do not want a bland, generic logo either; it must be unique.
After this contest ends, we will likely host a separate contest to incorporate the winning logo into business cards, letterhead, digital letterhead, and envelopes.
Because we are going to use the logo in different media, we would like to see different versions of the logo such that we have one with higher sophistication for use on things like websites, and a lower level of sophistication for things like stationary/letterhead.
Please do not use copyrighted fonts or designs. We will need the raw original Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop files of the final design—whatever original file formats were used to create the design.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a logo that is modern, bold and/or sleek, powerful, and impactful. It should stick-out, make an impression, and not be easily forgotten or confused with others, but at the same time look professional and not over-the-top.
We like simple typographic logos, but we’ve also seen excellent logos that incorporate icons. We are interested in ANY logo designs that fit the above description (so it may be with or without the incorporation of an icon). In other words, the designer should not feel constrained in their creativity if they have a good idea.
The logo should look good in color, black and white, on websites, on business cards, on printed letterhead, on digital letterhead, and in e-mail signatures.
WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR
We are not looking for icons of gavels, the scales of justice, roman columns, or the lady justice. We also do not want a font too similar to Times New Roman or any other overly used font. We want something modern, non-cliché, and unique. Please do not use an arc or any other cliche design techniques.
