Carapace is the exoskeleton of beach dwellers. We want people to associate the brand with an outer shell thinking of it as a second home that is comfortable, provides protection and is a medium for self expression. Feel free to experiement with the notion of exoskeletons as well as water and waves.
1. Technology - we want to communicate to our customers that we have a strong technology presence
2. Casual and beachy - theres definitely a balance between making the logo look techy but as the same time appeal to the casual beach-dweller. Ripcurl.com does an interesting job at this in terms achieving this balance.
3. Other items - Please, if possible, make 2 comps, one colored and the other black and white. Logo needs to be simple, clean and easily identifiable.
