Create a logo that conveys adventure, speed, and precision

Scree Slide Sports

We are a timing company that primarily times running races like 5k's and 10k's but we also occasionally time bicycle races, adventure races and triathlons. Most of these races are put on by non-profits who do not necessarily identify with the running and racing community, but we also need to appeal to the running, athletic, and outdoorsy community

Scree is the sediment and small pebbles that accumulate on the sides of mountains and cliffs. A scree slide is a mini avalanche that happens as these small rocks and stones are disturbed and they collide into each other as they careen down the hill. If you are attempting to go up or down a hill you can kind of ride the scree slide down. I chose the name because I think of a scree slide happening in two instances;
1) when you are running down a hill with the reckless abandon and sheer joy usually only associated with childhood. As you do so you can see the scree (small stones and pebbles) roping down with you. I want to convey to racers and race organizers that same sense of joy, speed, and adventure.
2) when you are pushing yourself and challenging yourself to your limits to the point where you aren’t picking up your feet all the way and you inadvertently kick the scree on the road or trail and create a scree slide. I want my racers and race organizers to associate that level of determination with our company.
In addition I think I might like a logo that features the name of the company and logo together but that the logo can be separated from the name so it can be used on its own if I want to. That is not a requirement though
