At our heart, we are an online fly fishing lifestyle brand. Our core focus is online and digital film content, but we need a brand identity that is able to be carried over to branded gear (hats, t-shirts, bags, beer coozies... more beer coozies), and has more weight than "youtube videos".
This means a copy set, and some type of identifiable icon or logo.
The Jetboat Chronicles has no desire to find our place in the "traditional" fly fishing market (read that as NO floppy brimmed hats, giant rubber waders, of dudes in a vest standing on a river bank). Instead are seeking to define our own space in the sport focused on friends, laughs, and an insatiable sense of adventure and wanderlust. We want to be "those guys", and we've done a pretty good job of that all our lives already...

We aren't a fishing show that is looking to teach you anything. People don't tune in to see how to become a better fisher-person. Our demographic tunes in because they need a laugh, or a break, or just can't get onto the water at that moment and need to live vicariously through us for a few minutes a day.
The logo should define our brand as we will sell our own logo'd gear in an effort to fund the brand as a whole and use the funds to keep us where people seem to love us most: drinking beer, throwing big flies, and telling the stories of our adventures along the way. This means a logo that is simple, non-"photo" based (so no water color of a trout stream meandering through the mountains).

First and foremost have FUN when you're thinking about our logo. We don't film if we're having a bad day on the water. We only produce when we're into it, and we hope you do the same with our logo!
